FloMet LLC Successfully Transitions to ISO 9001:2000

At this time, approximately 15% of the firms registered under the ISO 9002-1994 standard have transitioned to the new ISO 9001:2000 standard. On September 19, 2002, FloMet LLC successfully passed the audit for transitioning from the former ISO 9002-1994 standard to the new ISO 9001:2000 standard. SGS, Inc. spent two days auditing the Quality Management System before reaching its decision to register FloMet to the ISO 9001:2000 standard. During the audit, FloMet was not cited for any Major or Minor Corrective Actions. This accomplishment continues the FloMet tradition of leadership in the powder metal industry.

The new ISO 9001:2000 standard goes beyond the requirements of the old standard, ISO 9002-1994. There are three new principles in the new standard – Customer Focus, Management Responsibility, and Continuous Improvement. Adherence to these new principles contributes to FloMet achieving unmatched levels of product quality and customer satisfaction.
